AI agents that do the work, with people keeping the decisions.
We design, build and deploy AI agents for specific business workflows. Each agent has a clear job, works from your approved information and tools, and hands consequential actions to a person for approval.
Agents for defined workflows, not one-off chatbots.
- 01Bespoke agents for a defined workflow in your business
- 02Productised agents, configured for your SME and deployed repeatably
- 03Connected to your approved business information and tools
- 04Human approval points for consequential actions
- 05Logging, monitoring, permissions and governance from day one
- 06Ongoing support, optimisation and updates
Agent categories we work in.

In short: if the process is a fixed flowchart, automate it. If a person needs help with information, give them an assistant. Use an agent when the work is multi-step, messy and spans tools, and keep a person accountable for the outcome.
Automation, assistant or agent?
| Automation | AI assistant | AI agent | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | A fixed, predictable flow | Helping people find, summarise or create information | Multi-step, messy work across information and tools |
| Example | Weekly sales report emailed every Monday | Answering staff questions from the HR handbook | Researching a new lead, drafting outreach and preparing it for review |
| Predictability | High | Medium, with a person reading the output | Lower, so it needs defined permissions and logs |
| Human role | Handle exceptions | Use and check the output | Approve consequential actions |
We'll tell you honestly when an agent is the wrong tool. Many problems are solved better and more cheaply with workflow redesign and automation.
Seven design principles, every time.
- 01
Clear charter
A narrow scope and one measurable job, written down before anything is built.
- 02
Grounded
Works from approved business information, not guesswork.
- 03
Defined permissions
Access only to the tools and data the job needs.
- 04
Human approval
A person approves anything consequential.
- 05
Logged
Every action is recorded and reviewable.
- 06
Tested
Evaluated against real cases before it goes live.
- 07
Measured
Judged on business outcomes such as time saved, accuracy and adoption.
Every agent starts with a written charter: its scope, data, guardrails and sign-off points, agreed with you before anything is built.
Four commercial models.
Common questions
What is an AI agent?
An AI agent is an AI system that can work through a multi-step task towards a goal. It decides which step comes next, uses tools such as search, email, spreadsheets or your business systems, and adjusts based on what it finds. A chatbot answers a question. An agent can carry out a sequence of actions.
When should an SME use an AI agent instead of automation?
Use automation when the steps and rules are known in advance. Consider an agent only when the task is multi-step, involves unstructured information (emails, documents, web pages), spans several tools and needs some judgement about what to do next. If you can draw the process as a fixed flowchart, you probably don't need an agent.
What is the difference between a bespoke and a productised agent?
A bespoke agent is designed and built for one specific workflow in your business. A productised agent is a reusable FPA agent for a common workflow, configured to your information, rules and tools. Productised agents are usually faster and cheaper to deploy; bespoke agents fit work that is unique to you.
Are AI agents safe for an SME to use?
They can be, if they are designed with limits. That means a narrow scope, access only to the data and tools they need, logs of what they did, and a person approving anything consequential. We write every agent's charter (its purpose, permissions, guardrails and sign-off points) before building it.
How much does an AI agent cost?
It depends on scope and integrations. Bespoke agents usually carry an implementation fee plus recurring support; productised agents are configured and supported on a repeatable basis. We normally start with a small pilot on one workflow so you can see real results and running costs before committing further.
