What is an AI-enabled fractional professional?
An experienced specialist, for example in HR, finance, operations or compliance, who works with a business for part of their time and uses AI workflows and agents to deliver more in that time. The professional brings judgement and domain expertise; the AI takes on the repetitive information work.
When does fractional expertise make sense for an SME?
When the work needs senior judgement but not 40 hours a week, when you need the capability for a set period (a system rollout, a restructure, a compliance programme), or when you want to test what a role really involves before you hire for it.
Is FPA a recruitment agency or freelancer marketplace?
No. FPA does not place employees or list freelancers for bidding. FPA professionals deliver defined services using FPA's methods, workflows, technology and governance, and FPA stays involved in how the work is delivered.
Who is responsible for the work?
The scope, responsibilities and data protection arrangements are agreed in writing before work starts. AI is used inside approved workflows with human review, and the professional remains accountable for their advice and judgement.
